Product Introduction:The GY/GYS/GYH Type Flange Coupling is a type of rigid coupling consisting of two flanges and connecting bolts. It transmits torque by rigidly connecting the two flanges through bolts, with no relative movement between them. It is suitable for mechanical equipment that requires high shaft alignment accuracy and rigid transmission.

Q1. Is GY coupling a rigid coupling or an elastic coupling?
Rigid coupling. It has no elastic elements and provides no vibration damping or cushioning.
Q2. What are the differences between GY, GYS and GYH types?
They differ in centering method: GY uses bolt centering, GYS uses a spigot and groove, and GYH uses a centering ring.
Q3. Can GY coupling compensate for installation misalignment?
No. It cannot compensate for radial, axial or angular misalignment. Precise alignment is required during installation.
Q4. What materials are commonly used?
Grey cast iron, carbon steel (e.g. 45# steel), cast steel or forged steel; bolts are typically Grade 8.8.
Q5. Which standard does it comply with?
National Standard GB/T 5843-2003.
Q6. How does it transmit torque?
For ordinary bolts: by friction on the mating faces. For reamed bolts: by shearing and extrusion of the bolt shank.
