Product Introduction:The JQ Type Clamp Coupling is a rigid coupling with a compact structure and convenient installation. It mainly consists of two half-couplings with clamping slots, which are firmly connected to the shaft by bolt fastening. It features no rotational backlash and is suitable for transmission systems requiring high precision and high response.

Q1: Can I use JQ coupling for vertical shafts?
Yes. JQ type has a vertical special version (JQ Vertical Type) designed for reactor stirrer shafts and vertical reducer connections.
Q2: Do I need a key if I use JQ clamp coupling?
Not always. Torque is mainly transmitted by friction. A flat key is optional but recommended for heavy loads or shock conditions.
Q3: What happens if bolts are not tightened evenly?
Uneven torque causes misalignment, vibration, and possible shaft damage. Always tighten bolts in a star pattern to specified torque.
Q4: Can JQ coupling connect shafts of different diameters?
Yes, but you need a custom version with different bore sizes on each half. Standard JQ has same bore on both ends.
Q5: Is JQW coupling stronger than JQ?
Yes. JQW has an intermediate clamp band and extra bolts, giving 10-15% higher torque capacity and better rigidity.
Q6: What is the maximum speed for JQ coupling?
Maximum linear velocity is 5 m/s. Above that, dynamic balancing is required. For high speed, consider a different coupling type.
