The universal wheel is the so-called movable caster, its structure allows horizontal 360 degree rotation.

 

Casters are collectively referred to as, including movable casters and fixed casters.

The fixed caster has no rotating structure and can not rotate horizontally but vertically. These two casters are generally used in combination. For example, the structure of the trolley is two fixed wheels at the front, and two movable universal wheels are close to the pushing armrest at the rear.

 

Universal wheel refers to the bracket installed on the caster wheel, which can rotate 360 degrees horizontally under dynamic or static load.

 

There are many kinds of materials for making universal wheel. The most common materials are nylon, polyurethane, rubber, cast iron and other materials. It is widely used in many industries and fields such as mines, machinery equipment, electronic equipment, medical equipment, engineering decoration, textile, printing and dyeing, furniture, logistics equipment, storage, turnover vehicle, chassis, cabinet, equipment, mechanical and electrical, dust-free workshop, production line, large supermarket and other industries.

 

1. Inspection of castor universal wheel product bracket and fastener

   Tighten the loose axle and nut and check the weld or support plate for damage. Overloading or impact can cause the bracket to twist, and the twisted bracket makes the heavy load lean on the individual wheels, resulting in premature wheel failure.

2. Lubricating oil maintenance of caster universal wheel

The wheel and movable bearing can be used normally for a long time by adding lubricating oil regularly. Applying grease to the friction parts of the axle, seal ring and roller bearing can reduce the friction and make the rotation more flexible. Lubrication is normally carried out every six months. The wheels of the car should be lubricated after cleaning every month.

3. Caster universal wheel product wheel maintenance

Visual inspection of wheel wear. The poor rotation of the wheel is related to fine thread, rope and other debris. The anti wrapping cover can effectively block the entanglement of these sundries. Loose or tight castors are another factor. Replace damaged wheels / casters to avoid unstable rotation. After checking and replacing the wheel, make sure to tighten the axle with locking gasket and nut. Because the wheel axle looseness will cause the wheel frame to rub with the bracket and get stuck, we should pay attention to the replacement wheel and bearing to avoid the loss of production.
