Heavy duty casters refer to casters with relatively large load capacity. They are classified according to the load-bearing capacity of casters. They are relatively light duty casters and medium duty casters. There is no clear boundary. They are generally from 500 kg to 15 tons, or even higher load casters. They are called heavy duty casters.

Support design of heavy duty caster

The support of heavy duty caster is usually made of metal materials, including common steel plate stamping, cast steel forming, die forging steel forming, etc., which is usually plate type assembly. The steel plate thickness of heavy-duty casters is generally 8mm, 10 mm, 16 mm and more than 20 mm. At present, Wanda has designed a 12 ton super heavy caster for CNPC system, which adopts 30mm thick steel plate and 40mm supporting plate, effectively ensuring the safety of the loaded products.

Design of rotating plate of heavy universal wheel

Heavy duty casters usually use double-layer steel ball track, stamping forming, heat treatment. For the rotating plate of the heavy universal wheel, the plane ball bearing or plane needle roller bearing with larger force is generally used, and the matching cone bearing effectively improves the load capacity of the heavy caster. For the special impact resistant heavy-duty universal wheels, the rotating plate is made of die forged steel, which can effectively avoid the welding of connecting plate bolts and improve the impact resistance of casters with greater strength.
