From which aspects to understand the specifications of casters

Casters are usually composed of a support frame and a wheel. The support frame is usually metal, but there are also plastic products. We often refer to it as a complete plastic support frame. Generally, the pharmaceutical industry is used more, and the furniture wheel manufacturing industry also has more plastic product support frames. The most common natural use in our industrial production is a natural stainless steel bracket.


First, casters can be called directional casters and universal casters. Directional casters support a wheel that can only move along a flat line. Universal casters are matched with a single wheel on a support frame, which may be offset 360 degrees and can move in any direction.
Second, the assembly is relatively high: it refers to the safe distance between the installation equipment and the specific position between the sidewalk and the installation equipment. The relatively high height of the caster assembly refers to the safe distance from the base plate and the wheel. The support frame is biased to the center distance: it refers to the horizontal distance from the vertical line of the center rivet to the center of the wheel core.


Third, the radius of rotation refers to the horizontal distance from the vertical line of the center rivet to the outer edge of the tire, and the appropriate spacing makes the caster 360 degrees offset. The reasonable degree of the rotation radius can directly affect the service life of the caster.


Fourth, bias: hard, narrow wheels are more prone to bias than soft, wide wheels. The radius of rotation is a key parameter for wheel rotation. If the rotation radius is too short, it will increase the difficulty. If it is too large, it will cause the wheel to shake and reduce life.


Fifth, the flexibility of driving operation: the larger the wheel, the better the flexibility of driving operation. Compared with soft wheels on the flat side, hard, narrow wheels on smooth roads save time and energy. Wheels save time and energy, but soft wheels on uneven roads can better protect machines and equipment and reduce shocks. The key factors affecting the flexibility of caster driving are the structure of the support frame and the use of support frame steel, the size of the wheel, the type of wheel, and the bearing.


Sixth, the amount of driving load: the load capacity of the caster when moving is also called dynamic load. Whether the structure and quality of the frame can resist impact and shock.


Seventh, the amount of impact load: the instantaneous load capacity of the caster when the machine is hit by the carrier or vibration.
Eighth, static load: the total weight that the caster can be in a static state.


The caster structure is very simple, but it is very familiar to use it more deeply, so the above eight points are extended from the structure of the caster structure. Both manufacturing and adoption follow this formula.
