What aspects can slow down the wear of heavy-duty casters?

heavy duty industrial PU casters

Fixed heavy-duty casters are fixed brackets with a single wheel that can only move along the line. Activating heavy-duty casters can turn 360 degrees with a single wheel and can extend in any direction. Heavy-duty casters have different types of models, sizes and tires.

So how can it extend its life? Then, we can maintain the daily use of heavy-duty casters through the following points.

1. Wheels: Check the wear of the wheels. Poor wheel rotation is related to debris such as fine red and rope. Dust covers can prevent the entanglement of these debris. Casters that are too loose or too tight are another factor. Replace damaged heavy-duty casters to avoid unstable rotation. After checking and replacing the wheels, you must ensure that you must use locking washers and threaded nuts. Because loosening the wheel axle will cause the wheel amplitude and bracket to rub and get stuck. There should be replacement wheels and bearings to avoid termination losses.

2. Heavier casters: If the movable bracket becomes loose, it must be replaced immediately. If the fixed center rivet shows signs of looseness, it must be ensured that it is firmly locked. If the active steering does not rotate freely, check the ball for corrosion or dirt. If you assemble a fixed heavy-duty caster, you must ensure that the heavy-duty wheel bracket has no bending.

3. Lubrication: With regular lubrication oil, the wheels and active bearings can be used for a long time. Lubricating the friction area of the wheel shaft, sealing ring and roller bearing with grease can reduce friction and be more flexible. Under normal circumstances, lubricate once every six months. The wheels should be lubricated after cleaning the car every month.

4. Rotation and fasteners: Tighten loose shafts and nuts, and check whether the welding or support plate is damaged. Operation or impact can cause the bracket to twist. A twisted bracket can cause heavy loads on a single wheel to tilt and cause premature damage to the wheel. If it is a heavy-drive caster, the nut should be tightened or tightened, the equipment mounting bracket should not be bent, and the rod should be installed correctly. When installing heavy-duty casters, you should use locking nuts or anti-loosening washers. The expansion insert installation of the heavy-duty caster must be firmly installed in the tube.

5. Overload: Overload is the main reason for the short life of casters; overload can cause the deformation of the heavy-duty caster bracket to affect the running track of the steel ball, and even affect the contact of the heavier and negative deformation and stick the wheel, causing the wheel to deform, crack and dehydrate. Therefore, try to avoid overloading of heavy-duty casters. Make sure to use it better within the tolerance range.

6. Different wheels are used in different places: Choose heavy-duty casters with materials for different purposes, and different materials have different physical and chemical properties. The materials of heavy casters are different. Of course, the service life of heavy casters is different. In order to avoid this, it should be used according to the product manual provided by the manufacturer.
